FOA TRAINING
Required Freedom of Access Training
As elected officials, school board members must complete a course of training on the Freedom of Access Law. One way to do it is by going to the state FOA website and conducting a thorough review of the material on the “Frequently Asked Questions” page. Once you have completed your training, you should fill out a “Certificate of Completion” and send it to the superintendent’s office for filing. Click below for a copy of the certificate.

We remind board members that the deadline is 120 days after the oath of office is administered. Board members should send their certificate of completion to the superintendent’s office for filing.
