The Educator’s ATLAS: Leading the Way on the Path to Engagement
Thursday, October 24, 2024

MSMA is pleased to announce this year's Fall Conference Keynote Speaker: Weston Kieschnick

Keynote Description:
There is an engagement crisis in America’s schools. In 2023, Gallup reported fewer than half of students (47 percent) felt engaged at school. More alarming, as many as 25% of students polled reported they were actively disengaged from school. In the rapidly changing world of education, what do educational leaders need to know, and do, in order to support classroom teachers in their efforts to re-engage students in the learning process? First, we need to agree that engagement is more than just “fun”. Engagement is curiosity, participation, and a desire to persevere. Second, we'll explore how the world’s most engaging educators continue to actively engage everyone from students to employees. Finally, we'll demystify and distill the world of engaging instruction, so that leaders can cultivate it in their schools and districts.
