Maine School Management Association is seeking multiple experienced school board chairs, retired school board members, or retired superintendents to assist MSMA staff in the delivery and facilitation of training / workshops for school boards during 2022-23. Trainings/workshop topics could include: School Board member orientation, Advanced Boardsmanship, Parliamentary Procedure, School Finance for School Board members, and possibly others. Selected individuals will have demonstrated success in their experience as a school board member and/or as a superintendent. Some training will be required. Competence with technology to deliver workshops preferred (PowerPoint presentations, hardware connections for presentations, etc.). Some travel may be required, though MSMA is seeking interested folks from a variety of regions in the state where travel could be kept to a minimum. Ability to provide evening training / workshops a must. A stipend per workshop will be provided along with mileage to and from your home on the date of the workshop. Should an overnight be required, lodging also will be provided. MSMA staff will be assisting in the development and preparation of materials needed for these trainings / workshops.
